Bunny Hats for easter eggs – 2 Free Knitting Patterns.

I want to share with you some of my designes.
And want to start free patterns share from easter bunny hats.
Hope that you will like them.


Abbreviations

K = knit
P = purl
Sts = stitches
Kfb = knit into front and back of stitch
K2tog = knit 2 together
K3tog = knit 3 together
CO =  cast on
RND = round
 K the Ks and P the Ps = knit the knits and purl the purls as you see them




Materials needed


  • ·         4 double-pointed needles in a size suitable for the yarn weight you are using. I recommend using needles a size or two smaller than the yarn calls for, to produce a firm fabric. İ used Needles size 2 (3mm)
  • ·         Yarn for hats


Red Hat





Cast on 32 stitches. Distribute among 3 needles and join to work in the round, being careful not to twist sts. Place marker.

RND1: K2, P2   (8 times)                            ( 32 sts )
RND2-6: K the Ks and P the Ps               ( 32 sts )
RND7-12:  6 Rnds  K all                            ( 32 sts )
RND13: K2tog, K14  (2times )                 ( 30 sts )
RND14: K2tog, K3    (6times )                 ( 24 sts )
RND15: K2tog, K2  (6times )                   ( 18 sts )
RND16: K2tog, K1  (6times )                    ( 12 sts )
RND17: K2tog          (6times )                    ( 6 sts )

Cut yarn and thread through six remaining sts.
Weave in ends.



Ears  for red hat (make2 pieces)


Knitted flat. Work in garter stitch (knit all stitches)
Cast on 5 stitches.

Row1-3: 3rows K all                                      ( 5 sts )
Row4: K, Kfb, K, Kfb, K                                ( 7 sts )
Row5:  K all                                                   ( 7 sts )
Row6: K, Kfb, K3, Kfb, K                              ( 9 sts )
Row7:  K all                                                    ( 9 sts )
Row8: K, Kfb, K5, Kfb, K                              ( 11 sts )
Row9-12: 4rows K all                                   ( 11 sts )
Row13: K, K2tog, K5, K2tog, K                    ( 9 sts )
Row14:  K all                                                  ( 9 sts )
Row15: K, K2tog, K3, K2tog, K                    ( 7 sts )
Row16:  K all                                                   ( 7 sts )
Row17: K, K2tog, K, K2tog, K                       ( 5 sts )
Row18:  K all                                                   ( 5 sts )
Row19: K2tog, K, K2tog                                 ( 3 sts )
Row20:  K3tog                                                 ( 1 sts )

Bind off. Weave in ends.


Green hat

Cast on 30 stitches. Distribute among 3 needles and join to work in the round, being careful not to twist sts. Place marker.

RND1: K all                                                    ( 30 sts )
RND2: P all                                                    ( 30 sts )
RND3-12:  10 Rnds  K all                             ( 30 sts )
RND13:K2tog, K8       (3times)                   ( 27 sts )                             
RND14:K2tog, K7       (3times)                   ( 24 sts )
RND15:K2tog, K2      (6times )                   ( 18 sts )
RND16: K2tog, K1     (6times )                   ( 12 sts )
RND17: K2tog            (6times )                    ( 6 sts )

Cut yarn and thread through six remaining sts. Weave in ends.



Ears  for green hat (make2 pieces)



Knitted flat. Work in garter stitch (knit all stitches)
Cast on 5 stitches.

Row1-3: 3rows K all                                     ( 5 sts )
Row4: K, Kfb, K, Kfb, K                               ( 7 sts )
Row5:  K all                                                  ( 7 sts )
Row6: K, Kfb, K3, Kfb, K                             ( 9 sts )
Row7:  K all                                                  ( 9 sts )
Row8: K, Kfb, K5, Kfb, K                             ( 11 sts )
Row9-16: 8rows K all                                  ( 11 sts )
Row17: K, K2tog, K5, K2tog, K                   ( 9 sts )
Row18:  K all                                                  ( 9 sts )
Row19: K, K2tog, K3, K2tog, K                   ( 7 sts )
Row20:  K all                                                  ( 7 sts )

FINISHING BUNNY hat.

Choose the right place for ears for your rabbit and stitch it accurate.
Red hat ears are upright. Green bunny hats ears are down.
You can use different places of sewing to make different version.

  2. These are adorable. I knit 7 little hats. The difficulty was sewing on the ears. I tried every way I could think of and some look nice, but most look amateur. I do need some help in the sewing up. But thank you for this pattern. I love it.
